BRAMPTON -
An 85-year-old Wasaga Beach man has died after a minor four-car collision at Airport Road and Bovaird Drive Wednesday afternoon, Peel police report. Gilbert Parcell was driving north on Airport in a grey Toyota Corolla at 3:30 p.m. when it veered into an adjoining lane and sideswiped another vehicle. That caused a chain reaction collision involving two more vehicles, all of which received only minor damage and no injuries were reported. Shortly after the crash, Parcell complained of a headache and was taken to Brampton Civic Hospital. His condition deteriorated quickly and he died the next day, according to police. No charges will be laid, but Peel’s Major Collision Bureau is asking for witnesses to the crash to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 905-453-3311, ext. 3710.
