BRAMPTON - Brampton engineering and consulting firm Trow Global has solidified a merger with Teknika HBA, a Quebec-based provider of multidisciplinary engineering and consulting services.
Both companies provide complementary consulting and engineering services in Canada and internationally and the merger will offer even more fully integrated solutions for their clients, company officials said. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
"This transaction is a landmark event for Trow and Teknika HBA.  We have significantly increased our geographic reach and together have much greater breadth of solutions for our clients," commented Vlad Stritesky, Trow president.  "By combining the people, expertise and solutions of Trow and Teknika HBA, we are better positioned than ever to evolve and grow with the needs of our clients and continue our global expansion."
Founded in 1957, Trow has grown in size into one of Canada's largest engineering and consulting companies.
The firm boasts offices across the globe, and offers a full range of services including specialist engineering and technical expertise.
Trow provides integrated solutions to the commercial, energy, industrial, infrastructure, institutional, residential and transportation sectors.
The company was also selected as a winner of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Program in 2001 and 2006.
Stritesky said the merger with Teknika HBA is a natural progression given the complementary nature of their business models. Teknika HBA brings additional expertise in urban planning, energy, industrial processes and eco-engineering.
The combined workforce amounts to some 2,000 employees with a total of 60 offices in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, the United States and internationally.
"This merger is very important to both Teknika HBA and Trow as it strengthens our position in the domestic and international markets and will allow us to continue on our path of strong growth said," Wilfrid Morin, President of Teknika HBA. "We are pleased to have found a partner who, like us, gives priority to its core asset, its people, as well as the quality of its technical know-how and focus on customer service."
