BRAMPTON - The City of Brampton and Lowe's Canada have teamed up to establish a community garden at the Flower City Seniors Recreation Centre, located on the south west corner of McLaughlin Road and Queen Street West.
Brampton seniors, who may not have access to their own garden, can enjoy the pleasures of horticulture throughout the summer and for years to come. Lowe's volunteers were on-site Thursday to finish the project, which includes raised flowerbeds, a terrace and a paved stone walkway.
A $15,000 grant was set aside to help build the community garden for local seniors.
